Steve Anderson is an Executive Producer responsible for a series of high-rating, headline-making TV programmes. Now working as an independent with major UK and international broadcasters, he is an award-winning news producer who covered the Gulf War, the War in Bosnia and the fall of the Berlin Wall for the BBC.
He was Editor of the BBC's consumer show Watchdog, delivering record ratings and profile. As Network Controller of News and Documentaries at ITV, he covered the terror attacks of 9/11 and launched new shows that regularly won the Royal Television Society Programme of the Year awards. As an independent, he has been Executive Producer of BBC's flagship debate show, Question Time, and the producer of documentaries that have delivered record audiences for Discovery UK. For NBC News, he launched the international division of the company's Emmy-award winning Peacock Productions.
Simon Anderson is an experienced producer, director and writer of programmes for major broadcasters including BBC, Channel 4, Sky and Discovery. He began his career as an actor, performing throughout his teenage years in film, theatre and television dramas before moving behind the camera.
Simon began working in current affairs, covering politics and elections for BBC, before moving into live sport programming including Wimbledon and Match of The Day. He worked as a director on BBC’s Watchdog, and has since worked primarily in documentaries, producing high-profile series and specials for networks both in Britain and worldwide. Recent work includes Faking It (Discovery), The Mystery of Suzy Lamplugh (Sky) and Murder in Slow Motion: The Shana Grice Story (Sky).
His first short film Morning Is Broken premiered at BFI Flare Film Festival and was selected for multiple festivals around the world including London Film Festival and Palm Springs.
